The Landrat (District Administrator)

The Landrat is the chairperson of the district council and its committees, and leader of the district authority. The Landrat represents the district. The term of office is 7 years and starts on entry to the office.

The Landrat Rico Anton - 100% Erzgebirge

The district election of the Erzgebirge took place on the 12th June 2022 and on the 3rd July 2022. In the second ballot, the incumbet District Administrator Rico Anton recevied the required relative majority. District Administrator Anton(CDU) recevied 41.517 votes and prevailed against his three competitors with 40.1 per cent of the vailed votes. The inauguration took place on the 1st August 2022.
